About the Role
White Castle Roofing is offering an opportunity for students to get a hands-on education through our 12-week Seasonal Internship. Interns will gain valuable experience in the construction management process both in the office and in the field through rotations in commercial and/or residential roofing services. Start and end dates can be flexible, but generally the internship will run from mid-May through mid-August, up to 40 hours per week required. This is a paid internship, $16 hourly wage. At the conclusion of the internship, a formal evaluation with White Castle Roofing’s supervisory staff will be provided, and a permanent position may be offered depending on performance. (Anticipated openings in the next 12-36 months include positions in Commercial and Residential Sales and Commercial and Residential Operations)
Interns must be enrolled in an accredited college or vocational school, or a recent (within two years) graduate, and hold a valid driver’s license. Interns will be expected to attend an orientation at the beginning of the internship, covering subjects such as work attire, absenteeism, and safety, and adhere to White Castle Roofing’s rules and regulations in these areas. Each intern will be assigned a mentor who will provide periodic feedback on performance and completion of assigned tasks. Interns will also be required to report to our Lincoln office, and while housing advice may be offered, the intern must provide his or her own housing.
